棓擊（龐講反許叔重注淮南子云棓大杖也郭注方言云今之連枷所以打穀也說文從木咅土口反聲）。

Strike with a club (棓擊, fanqie: 龐講): Xu Shuzhong's commentary on the Huainanzi says, 'A 棓 is a large staff.' Guo's commentary on the Fangyan says, 'It is today's flail used for threshing grain.' The Shuowen jiezi says it is formed from 木 with 咅 (fanqie: 土口) as phonetic.
