飴之（以之反方言云飴謂之餳自關而東陳宋之間通語也說文云米𮒷煎也從食從台聲𮒷音言列反）。

Feed them sweet malt (飴之, fanqie: 以之): The Fangyan says, 'Maltose (飴) is called starch syrup; it is common parlance east of the Pass between Chen and Song.' The Shuowen jiezi says, 'It is boiled rice mash'; it is formed from 食 with 台 as phonetic; 𮒷 has the fanqie 言列).
