蓍龜（舒夷反蒼頡篇云蓍策也說文云蒿屬也千載生三百莖顧野王云策用四十九莖也說文從廾耆聲）。

Milfoil and tortoise shell (蓍龜, fanqie: 舒夷): The Cangjiepian says, '蓍 refers to divination stalks.' The Shuowen jiezi says, 'A type of mugwort; in a thousand years it produces three hundred stalks.' Gu Yewang says, 'For divination stalks forty-nine stalks are used.' The Shuowen jiezi says it is formed from 艸 with 耆 as phonetic.
