Rush mat (莞席, fanqie: 胡官): Zheng's annotation to the Mao Commentary on the Shijing says, '莞 is a small cattail mat.' Gu Yewang says, '莞 resembles cattail and is round.' The Shuowen jiezi says it is formed from 艸 with 完 as phonetic.
