無憚(檀爛反毛詩豈敢憚行箋云憚難也又云憚畏也韓詩惡也廣雅驚也說文忌嫉也從心單聲或從人作僤考聲云僤戰慄也)。

Without dread (無憚; [憚 is] tan-lan fan; the Mao Commentary on the Book of Odes says on 'How dare I dread the journey': 'Dan means difficult.' It also says: 'Dan means to fear.' Han's Odes commentary says: 'To detest.' The Guangya says: 'To be alarmed.' The Shuowen says: 'To be envious and jealous.' It has the 'heart' radical and the phonetic dan. It is sometimes written with the 'human' radical as 僤; the Kaosheng says: 'Dan means trembling.'
