甂甌（上遍眠反考聲云甂似瓮而下一云有嘴小瓮也說文甂似瓿大口而卑下阿侯反考聲甌小瓦盆也王注楚辭云瓦器也亦瓦椀也並形聲字也瓿音掊厚反）。

甂甌 (The first character has the fanqie [bian + mian] 遍眠. The Kaosheng states: "A 甂 resembles an urn but is lower; one [source] says it is a small urn with a spout." The Shuowen states: "A 甂 resembles a 瓿-jar, with a wide mouth and a low height." The second character has the fanqie [a + hou] 阿侯. The Kaosheng states: "An 甌 is a small earthenware basin." Wang's commentary to the Chuci states: "An earthenware vessel, or an earthenware bowl." Both are phono-semantic compound characters. 瓿 has the fanqie [pou + hou] 掊厚.)
