戡戩（上坎甘反尚書從今作鈛考聲㓨也孔注尚書云戡勝也說文殺也下音剪說文戩滅也除也從戈晉聲）。

戡戩 (The first character has the fanqie [kan + gan] 坎甘. In the Shangshu it is written with 今 as 鈛. The Kaosheng states: "To pierce." Kong's commentary to the Shangshu states: "戡 means to conquer." The Shuowen states: "To kill." The second character is pronounced like 剪. The Shuowen states: "戩 means to eradicate or remove; it takes its component from 戈 [halberd] and ‹晉› as its phonetic.")
