竄三苗（倉亂反考聲云竄投也謂逃竄藏匿也顧野王云誅放也古今正字隱也蔽也從鼠在穴中會意字也三苗國名亦山名也）。

竄三苗 (*c-l-: The Kaosheng says: "竄 means to cast off; that is, to flee and hide away." Gu Yewang says: "To execute and banish." The Gujin zhengzi says: "To conceal; to hide. Formed from a rodent (鼠) inside a hole (穴); an ideogram." Sanmiao is the name of a state and also the name of a mountain.)
