管闚（下犬規反考聲云闚覷也以筆管中闚天也故云管闚也方言云闚視也說文從門規聲覷音七豫反）。

管闚 (The lower [character] is quan + gui [kuī]. The Kaosheng says: "闚 means to peek (觑); looking at the sky through a writing-brush tube, hence it is called 'peeking through a tube' (管闚)." The Fangyan says: "闚 means to look at." The Shuowen [notes that it] derives from 門 [gate] with 規 as phonetic. 覷 is pronounced qi + yu [qù].)
