玟瑰（上音梅下音公回反蒼頡篇云火齊珠也毛詩傳云玫瑰者石之精美者也次於玉廣珠也形聲字並從玉論文作㻁非也）。

玟瑰 (The upper [character] is pronounced mei [méi]. The lower [character] is gong + hui [guī]. The Cang Jie pian says: "It is the huoji pearl." Mao's commentary to the Classic of Poetry says: "The rose gem (meigui) is the finest and most beautiful of stones, second to jade and broader than pearls." These are phono-semantic characters, both deriving from 玉 [jade]. In the treatise it is written as 㻁, which is incorrect.)
