頡頏（上賢結反下何浪反考聲云頡頏乍高乍下貌也毛詩傳曰鳥飛而上曰頡飛下曰頏說文直項也並從頁頁音賢結反魯首非也）。

頡頏 (The upper [character] is xian + jie [xié]. The lower [character] is he + lang [háng]. The Kaosheng says: "頡頏 is the appearance of flying up and down alternately." Mao's commentary to the Classic of Poetry says: "A bird flying upward is called 頡; flying downward is called 頏." The Shuowen says: "A straight neck; both derive from 頁 [head]." 頁 is pronounced xian + jie [xié]; 魯首 is incorrect.)
