Severed hub-spoke (斷[蕢-貝+(面-(百-日))]: pronounced *zai* [zāi], with *zi-shi* [z- + -ī = zī] in fanqie; according to Cao Zhi’s Treatise on Physiognomy: “The Duke of Zhou’s physique was like a severed [蕢-貝+(面-(百-日))].” Zheng’s commentary on the Rites of Zhou says: “[蕢-貝+(面-(百-日))] is the shape of the spokes entering the hub.” [Its exact meaning is] not yet clear).
