銑鋈（上先典反考聲云銑之美者也爾雅云金絕好光澤謂之銑古今正字從金先聲下烏毒反考聲毛詩傳並云鋈白金也古今正字從金沃聲）。

Fine cast metal and plated silver (銑鋈: the first [character] is *xian-dian* [x- + -iǎn = xiǎn] in fanqie; the Kaosheng says: “It is the finest of cast metals.” The Erya says: “Metal that is exceptionally fine and lustrous is called 銑.” The Gujin zhengzi states: “Categorized under 'metal' with 先 as phonetic.” The second is *wu-du* [w- + -ù = wù] in fanqie; the Kaosheng and Mao’s Commentary on the Odes both say: “鋈 is white metal [silver plating].” The Gujin zhengzi states: “Categorized under 'metal' with 沃 as phonetic”).
