[醇-子+(日/辛)]澆（上垂淪反孔注尚書云[醇-子+(日/辛)]粹也廣雅厚也說文云不澆也從酉[古/日/羊]聲[古/日/羊]音同上論作純音同義則非也下晈堯反考聲云澆薄也）。

Pure and adulterated ([醇-子+(日/辛)]澆: first character fanqie 垂淪; Kong's commentary on the Shangshu says: "[醇-子+(日/辛)] means unadulterated." The Guangya says: "Substantial; thick." The Shuowen states: "Not thin [unadulterated]." Formed from 酉 with [古/日/羊] phonetic; [古/日/羊] has the same sound as above. In the treatise it is written as 純, which has the same sound but an incorrect meaning. Second character fanqie 晈堯; the Kaosheng says: "Thin; superficial").
