Thunder and thunderclaps (雷霆: first character fanqie 盧堆; correctly written as 靁. Second character fanqie 定丁; the Erya says: "A sudden thunder is called a tíng (霆)." Guo Pu says: "Rapid and violent thunder." The Cangjie pian says: "Thunderbolt." The Shuowen says: "The lingering sound of thunder; the ringing sound that brings forth the myriad things."
