謇訥（上居輦反周易云謇者難也方言吃也古今正字從言寒省聲下奴兀反包咸注論語云訥遲鈍也說文言難也從言內聲論作蹇誤）。

Stuttering and hesitant (謇訥) (the first character is pronounced ju-nian fan; the Zhouyi says: "Jian means difficulty." The Fangyan says: "Stammering." The Gujin zhengzi gives it as following the speech radical [言] with an abbreviated han [寒] phonetic. The second character is pronounced nu-wu fan; Bao Xian's commentary on the Lunyu says: "Ne means slow and blunt." The Shuowen says: "Difficulty in speaking; it follows the speech radical [言] with nei [內] phonetic." The treatise writes it as 蹇, which is an error).
