妍醜（上齧堅反廣雅云妍好也說文忮也慧也從女幵聲幵音堅也論作妍俗也）。

Fair and foul (妍醜) (the first character is pronounced nie-jian fan; the Guangya says: "Yan means fine." The Shuowen says: "Perverse; clever; it follows the female radical [女] with jian [幵] phonetic; jian is pronounced jian." The treatise writes it as 妍, which is vulgar).
