87.31

𢏗篡（上霓計反正體從弓作𢏗下蒭患反論語云𢏗善射說文云帝[與/告]射官也夏少康滅之從弓幵聲論從羽作羿是鳥飛也今俗用之久請詳焉實非本字也）。

𢏗篡 The usurpation by Hou Yi: the first character is pronounced with the fanqie 霓 + 計; the correct form is written with the bow radical (弓) as 𢏗. The second is pronounced with the fanqie 蒭 + 患. The Analects says: 'Yi was skilled in archery.' The Shuowen says: 'An archery officer under Emperor Ku; Shao Kang of the Xia extinguished him.' It takes the bow radical (弓) and 幵 for phonetic. The treatise writes it with the feather radical (羽) as 羿, which refers to a bird taking flight; though common usage has long adopted this, please examine it carefully: it is not the original character.
