朝菌（上張遙反下群隕反郭注爾雅云菌地蕈也似蓋莊子云朝菌不知晦朔司馬彪云夭芝也）。
朝菌 Morning mushroom: the first character is pronounced with the fanqie 張 + 遙; the second is pronounced with the fanqie 群 + 隕. Guo's commentary on the Erya says: '菌 (jùn) is a ground mushroom, resembling a parasol.' The Zhuangzi says: 'The morning mushroom knows not the end and beginning of a month.' Sima Biao says: 'A short-lived mushroom.'
