盱衡（上况于反郭璞云盱謂之舉眼也蒼頡篇張目也漢書盱衡厲色也古今正字從目于聲也）。

盱衡 Glaring and staring: the first character is pronounced with the fanqie 况 + 于. Guo Pu says: '盱 (xū) refers to raising the eyes.' The Cangjie pian says: 'Opening the eyes wide.' The Book of Han has: 'Glaring and looking fierce (xūhéng lìsè).' The Gujin zhengzi states it takes the eye radical (目) and 于 for phonetic.
