飛[夢-夕+疋] [Flying squirrel / gliding rodent] (Pronounced with the fanqie 麥耕. Du's commentary on the Zuozhuan says: 'It can climb trees and cries like a small child.' 甍 means the ridgepole of a house. The Shuowen says: It takes 瓦 [tile] as semantic classifier and abbreviated 夢 as phonetic).
