釁伐（許覲反杜注左傳云釁罪也說文從分從酉集文從[川*〡]作釁非也）。

Provoking fault and punishing (釁伐): [The first character is pronounced] *xu* + *jin* fan. Du [Yu's] commentary on the Zuo zhuan says: 'A rift/offense (釁) means a crime.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It is formed from [the semantic component] *fen* (分) and the phonetic component *you* (酉).' The Jiwen writing it with [川*〡] as 釁 is incorrect.
