扆旒 [yǐliú] (The first character has the fanqie yi + qi. Zheng's commentary on the Zhouli states: 'The yǐ with axes is called fǔ; its embroidered silk has black patterns on a ground of crimson and black. The form of the yǐ is like a folding screen.' Zheng's commentary on the Yili states: 'Like a screen of plain silk, bearing axe patterns to display majesty.' The Shuowen says: 'It has the radical 戶 (door) and yi as phonetic.' The second character has the fanqie liu + you. The Mao Commentary on the Shijing says: 'Liú are decorative pennants.' Gu Yewang says: 'Liú is precisely yóu. The Liji's "The Son of Heaven's jade cap-pendants have twelve liú" refers to this.' The Shuowen says: 'It has the radical 㫃 and liu as phonetic.' 㫃 has the sound yǎn; 流 has the sound liú).
