哂談（上申忍反馬注論語云哂笑也鄭注禮記齒本曰哂大笑則見古今正字云從口西聲亦作吲或作[口*弓*矢]）。

哂談 (The upper character is pronounced 申 + 忍 fanqie. Ma's commentary to the *Analects* says: "哂 means to smile." Zheng's commentary to the *Liji* says: "Exposing the teeth is called 哂; laughing loudly shows them." The *Gujin zhengzi* says it takes the mouth classifier [口] and is phonetic in 西; it is also written 吲 or written [口*弓*矢]).
