豔發（上塩漸反毛詩傳云豔美色也方言云秦𣈆之間謂美色為艷也說文云好而長也從豊盍聲也豊音峯也傳作艶俗字也）。

Radiantly blooming (豔發: the first character has the fanqie 塩 + 漸. The commentary to the Classic of Poetry says: "Yàn means beautiful color." The Fangyan says: "Between Qin and Jin, beautiful color is called yàn." The Shuowen jiezi says: "Goodly and tall." It takes 豊 as semantic classifier and 盍 as phonetic component; 豊 is pronounced fēng. The transmitted text writes 艶, which is a vulgar character).
