鍮石（上透侯反埤蒼云鍮石似金者考聲亦云鍮石似金西國以銅䥫雜藥合為之或作鋀音同上古今正字義同從金從偷省聲也）。

鍮石 (the first character has the fanqie: 透 + 侯 [tōu]). The Picang says: 'Brass (tōushí) is what resembles gold.' The Kaosheng also says: 'Brass resembles gold; the Western Regions combine copper and iron with various chemical agents to make it.' Sometimes written as 鋀, with the same pronunciation as above. The Gujin zhengzi gives the same meaning; it takes 金 as radical and the abbreviated 偷 as phonetic.
