僧叡（營桂反沙門也孔注尚書云叡智也說文從𣦻從目從谷省𣦻音殘）。

僧叡 (Sengrui): Read fanqie *y[íng]-[gu]ì* [ruì]; a śramaṇa. Master Kong's commentary on the *Shangshu* states: '叡 (*ruì*) means wisdom.' The *Shuowen jiezi* states: 'It is composed of 𣦻, of *mù* (eye), and of abbreviated *gǔ* (valley).' 𣦻 is pronounced *cán*.
