Water regulation (for the second [character 齊], q- + [x]i [jì]; Zheng's commentary to the Rites of Zhou says: “To regulate according to measure is called 'ji'.” The Kaosheng says: “The [character] 劑 for portions and divisions follows 刀 (knife); in the transmission text it is written [as 齊] as a loan character).
