偃蹇（居免紀偃巨偃三反左傳偃蹇驕傲也廣雅偃蹇夭撟也謂自高大皃也釋名偃息而臥不執事也蹇跛蹇也病不能作事今託似此也撟音几小反經文從人作𠐻誤也）。

偃蹇 (three fanqie readings: 居 + 免, 紀 + 偃, 巨 + 偃. The Zuozhuan says: '偃蹇 means proud and arrogant'. The Guangya says: '偃蹇 means swaggering and haughty', referring to the manner of esteeming oneself high and great. The Shiming says: '偃 means resting and lying down, not attending to duties; 蹇 means lame, diseased and unable to work; here it is used metaphorically for such a posture'. 撟 is pronounced in fanqie: 几 + 小. In the sūtra text it is written with the person radical as 𠐻, which is an error).
