彌窒（丁結反彌窒耶尼子或作富樓那彌多羅尼子正言富囉拏梅低梨夜富多羅富囉拏此云滿是其名也梅低梨夜此云慈是其母姓也富多羅者子也兼從母姓為名故此云滿慈子或譯云滿願子皆一義也與佛同日而生也）。

彌窒 [Maitrāyaṇī]: [The second character is pronounced with the] fanqie 丁結 (zhì). Maitrāyaṇīputra, also written Pūrṇa Maitrāyaṇīputra. Correctly stated, it is Pūrṇa-maitrāyaṇīputra (富囉拏梅低梨夜富多羅). Pūrṇa (富囉拏) is translated here as "Full" (滿); this is his personal name. Maitrāyaṇī (梅低梨夜) is translated here as "Benevolence" (慈); this is his mother's clan name. Putra (富多羅) means son. Combining his mother's clan name to make his name, he is thus called here Maitrāyaṇīputra ("Son of Full Benevolence"); or it is translated as "Son of Fulfilled Vows" (滿願子), both having the same meaning. He was born on the very same day as the Buddha.
