撤懸（上恥列反考聲云毀廢也說文從手徹省聲下音玄鄭注周禮云懸謂鍾磬在簨𮅽而廢之不鼓也懸亦掛也轉注字也）。

撤懸 [Removing the suspended bells] (The first character has the fanqie chǐ + liè. *Kaosheng* states: "To demolish and abandon." The *Shuowen* states: "Formed with 'hand' and the omitted form of 徹 as phonetic." The second character is pronounced like 玄. Zheng [Xuan]'s commentary on the *Zhouli* states: "Suspended instruments refer to bells and chiming stones hanging on racks; setting them aside and not striking them. *Xuan* also means to hang up; it is a derivative character").
