襤縷 [Ragged and torn] (The first character is pronounced like 藍. The second character has the fanqie lóng + zhǔ. The *Fangyan* states: "Garments without hems are called *lan*." Guo Pu states: "Clothes ruined and tattered." The *Shuowen* has the first formed with 'garment' and the second with 'silk', both being phono-semantic characters).
