飤之（上音寺杜注左傳云以飯食設供於人曰飤說文飤糧也從食從人會意字也傳從台作飴非）。

Fed him (飤之; the first character is pronounced sì [sì]. Du's commentary on the Zuozhuan says: 'To serve meals to others is called sì.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'Sì means provisions; it is an ideogram derived from shí 食 [food] and rén 人 [person].' The transmission writing it with tái 台 as yí 飴 is incorrect).
