Slight shift (小移; yǐ-zhī fan [yí]; according to the Sūtra on Proper and Improper Times (Shifeishi jing), measuring the shadow with the feet, when it has slightly deviated from the proper time, once the time has passed one does not eat; keeping a hollow fast runs the risk of transgressing [the rule against] eating at improper times).
