緜亘（滅編反毛詩傳曰緜緜長而不絕貌也王注楚辭云緜纏也許叔重注淮南子綿猶絡也下岡鄧反韻英云亘長遠也）。

緜亘 (Pronounced with the fanqie 滅編 [mián]. The Mao commentary to the Shijing says: "緜緜 describes being long and unbroken." Wang's commentary to the Chuci says: "緜 means to entwine." Xu Shuzhong's commentary to the Huainanzi says: "綿 is like binding." The lower character is pronounced with the fanqie 岡鄧 [gèng]. The Yunying says: "亘 means long and distant.")
