𣜥魔文（上刑擊反顧野王云𣜥書者所以罪責當代者曉諭慰勞百姓書也漢書云羽𣜥徵天下兵裴駰注云以鳥羽插於𣜥書之上而取其勢速若鳥飛也說文從木敫聲中音擊）。

𣜥魔文 (the first character has the fanqie: 刑 + 擊 [xí]). Gu Yewang says: 'A xí document is a proclamation used to reprimand the current age and instruct or comfort the common people.' The Hanshu says: 'With feather-posted proclamations (yǔxí), they summoned the troops of all under Heaven.' Pei Yin's commentary says: 'By inserting bird feathers onto the proclamation document, they conveyed that its haste was as swift as a bird in flight.' The Shuowen [indicates that] it takes 木 as radical and 敫 as phonetic; the pronunciation is jī (擊).
