Obstructed and blocked (阻礙, the first character is *zhuang* [zh-] + *suo* [-wo]; Du [Yu]'s commentary on the Zuo zhuan says 阻 means obstructed; it is sometimes written with the mountain radical as 岨; the Shuowen jiezi says it means danger, composed of 𨸏 with 且 phonetic, 且 being pronounced *jing* [j-] + *yu* [-u]; the second character is *wo* [w-] + *gai* [-ai]; the Guangya says 礙 means to resist; the Shuowen jiezi says it means to halt, composed of 石 with 疑 phonetic, an ideogrammic compound; it is also written as 閡, the same).
