檐霤（上音閻屋檐也說文從木詹聲下流救反禮記霤謂檐前滴也說文從雨留聲也）。

檐霤 (The upper character has the sound 閻 [yán], meaning the eaves of a house; the Shuowen says it takes 木 as radical and 詹 as phonetic. The lower character is pronounced with the fanqie 流救 [liù]. The Liji says: "霤 refers to dripping before the eaves." The Shuowen says it takes 雨 as radical and 留 as phonetic.)
