Clan lynchpin / Prominent leader (宗鎋: the second character is xián + jiá fanqie [xiá]. Lexicons write it correctly as 牽. The Zuo zhuan says: "The lynchpin of the leather cart was greased." The Shenglei says: "牽 is the pin of a cart." The Shuowen says: "牽 is the pin at the end of the cart axle; it is an ideogram composed of opposed 舛 components." The transmission writes it with the cart radical as 轄, and nowadays it is commonly written with the metal radical as 鎋 or 舝, all with the same pronunciation and meaning).
