機譎（上凡依反下涓悅反鄭注論語云譎猶詐也鄭箋毛詩云譎不直言也說文云欺也下從言矞聲矞葵聿反）。

機譎 (cunning deceit: the first character is a fanqie of 凡 and 依 [jī]; the second character is a fanqie of 涓 and 悅 [jué]; Zheng's commentary to the Lunyu states: '譎 is like deceitful.' Zheng's commentary to the Maoshi states: '譎 means not speaking straightforwardly.' The Shuowen states: 'It means to deceive;' the lower part has semantic 言 and phonetic 矞, with 矞 pronounced as a fanqie of 葵 and 聿).
