竝騖 (galloping abreast: the first character is the orthodox form of 并 [bìng]; the Shuowen explains that 并 and 併 derive from two 立 standing together. The second character is a fanqie of 巫 and 付 [wù]; the Mu Tianzi zhuan states: '騖 means spurring horses to run swiftly.' The Guangya states: 'It means to dash.' The Shuowen analyzes it as semantic 馬 and phonetic 敄, with 敄 pronounced as the character wǔ).
