湮廢 (submerged and abandoned: the first character is a fanqie of 壹 and 珍 [yīn]; Guo Pu's commentary to the Erya states: '湮 means sinking down.' The Shuowen states: 'Submerged;' it has semantic 水 and phonetic 垔, with 垔 pronounced yīn; the Wenzi jilüe and Wei Hong both have it with 水 as 洇; the ancient form is [宋-木+(示*(色-巴+(鹵-├))/工)], with the same pronunciation).
