Mokai 模楷 (The first character is pronounced móu. Zheng Xuan's subcommentary on the Mao Shijing states: "Mo means a model." The Shuowen jiezi states: "Mo means a rule." It takes the hand radical with mò as phonetic. The second character, kēng'āi, has the fanqie 崖買. The Guangya states: "Kai means to rub clean." The character dictionaries state: "To trace." The Shuowen jiezi states: "It takes the wood radical with jiē as phonetic.")
