Unconventional and bold (倜儻: the upper character has the fanqie tian-de [ti]; the lower character has the fanqie tang-lang [tang]. Sima Xiangru's Fengshan wen says: '倜儻 means exhausting transformation, valiant and vigorous.' The Guangya says: 'Eminent and extraordinary.' Both characters are derived from "person" [人] and are phono-semantic characters).
