琬琰（上於遠反玉篇云琬玉圭也下閻染反說文云玉圭長九寸執以為信以征不義也）。

琬琰 [Wan and Yan]: The first character is read with the fanqie yu + yuan (wǎn). The Yupian says: 'Wǎn is a jade scepter.' The second character is read with the fanqie yan + ran (yǎn). The Shuowen jiezi says: 'A jade scepter nine inches long, held as a pledge of trust when chastising the unrighteous.'
