Concealing a wife (藏妻: character dictionaries take 妻 as the correct character. The Shuowen jiezi states: 'It means wife; one who is equal with oneself. The Shuowen jiezi has it taking the "woman" radical and 又 holding affairs, which is the duty of a wife; it takes the 屮 phonetic.' 屮 is the fanqie 勑列 [chè]).
