Roaring furiously (咆烋) (the second character is pronounced with the fanqie 孝交 [xiào + jiāo -> xiāo]; the Shijing says: 'You roared furiously in the Central Kingdom'; Zheng's commentary says: 'The appearance of boastful and aggressive bluster, identical in meaning to 虓'; the Kaosheng says: 'Fierce and raging appearance'; the Gujin zhengzi gives the same meaning, composed of the fire radical (火) with 休 phonetic).
