鏨琢（上雜甘反考聲云鏨鐫也說文云鏨小鑿也從金從斬聲下陟角反毛詩傳云治玉曰琢郭璞注爾雅云琢玉也從玉豕聲豕音寵王反）。

zanzhuo 鏨琢 (The first character has the fanqie za + gan [z-]. The Kaosheng says: "Zan means to carve." The Shuowen says: "A zan is a small chisel; it takes the metal radical and has zhan as phonetic." The second character has the fanqie zhi + jiao [zh-]. The commentary on the Mao Classic of Poetry says: "Working jade is called zhuo." Guo Pu's commentary on the Erya says: "To carve jade; it takes the jade radical and has shi as phonetic." Shi has the fanqie chong + wang [ch-]).
