鐵鐓（下徒對反禮記云進𨥨戟者前其鐓後其刃毛詩傳曰鐓戈鐏也鐏者存巽反說文云矛戟秘下銅鐏也從金敦聲秘音秘秘矛柄也）。

鐵鐓 ('iron ferrule': the second character has the fanqie 徒對 [tú + duì]. The Liji says: 'When presenting a halberd, one points the ferrule forward and the blade behind.' Mao's commentary to the Shijing says: 'A 鐓 is the ferrule at the base of a dagger-axe.' 鐏 has the fanqie 存巽 [cún + xùn]. The Shuowen says: 'The bronze ferrule at the bottom of the shaft of a spear or halberd. It is derived from 金 (metal) with 敦 as phonetic.' 秘 is pronounced 秘; 秘 means the shaft of a spear).
