鷙鳥（上音至鄭玄注禮記云鷙猛鳥也廣雅云鷙執也楚辭云鷙鳥不群若鷹鸇之屬也古今正字從鳥從執）。

鷙鳥 ('bird of prey': the first character has the sound 至. Zheng Xuan's commentary to the Liji says: 'A 鷙 is a fierce bird.' The Guangya says: '鷙 means to seize.' The Chuci says: 'Birds of prey do not flock together; they are of the kind such as hawks and falcons.' The Gujin zhengzi states that it is derived from 鳥 (bird) and 執).
